	How do you advance from one belt rank to the next? At The Karate School, students are required to test before being promoted to the next belt. The student must demonstrate proficiency of the techniques learned at each level of instruction, and must understand the technique and why it is effective. When the student has passed their test of knowledge and skill, an advancement ceremony is conducted by Sifu Calhoun, where the student is formally promoted to the next belt rank. If you would
