Youth and Adult-how to promote

In order for a youth or adult student to be invited to their next Belt Test, they must first complete the following steps:

  • Memorize, practice, and demonstrate all requirements for the next (and any previous) rank

  • Spend the minimum time requirement actively training in their current rank (consult respective Rank Requirements List)

  • Successfully pass a Rank Review (announced on the mat)

  • Consistently demonstrate the characteristics taught on the mat (self-discipline, respect for others, honesty with oneself and others, attention to detail, willingness to learn, HUMILITY, ability to lead, etc.)

Once a student has achieved these prerequisites, they will receive an invitation to attend a Belt Test.

Youth and Adult Rank Requirements

Little Tigers-how to promote

In order for a Little Tiger student to be invited to their next Belt Test, they must first complete the following steps:

  • Memorize, practice, and demonstrate all requirements for the next (and any previous) rank, and show consistent improvement

  • Spend the minimum time requirement actively training in their current rank (for most ranks this is about 24 to 32 classes)

  • Consistently demonstrate the characteristics taught on the mat (self-discipline, respect for others, honesty with oneself and others, attention to detail, willingness to learn, HUMILITY, ability to lead, etc.)

Once a student has achieved these prerequisites, they will receive an invitation to attend a Belt Test.
